When Australia’s largest foundation is celebrating their 50th Anniversary, how do you begin to tell their story? With over $200 million granted, nine different funding areas, a rich history closely tied to the very genesis of philanthropic support in Australia and over 8000 grants to worthy organizations, how do you sift through that legacy to tell a story in 15 minutes? This was the challenge we faced when we were approached to come on board. Using a deep strategic process to identify the essence of their story and to help winnow down our clients’ focus, we ended up telling the stories of three of the most transformative grants the Foundation had made in their first 50 years. With a focus both on a historic grant from 30 years ago that changed Australian farming practices to a cutting edge genomic medicine project that promises to change our future, this gala film tried to capture the heart of this organization’s mission, and the indelible impact they had made on modern day Australia.
